From: Black Egg 06/22/2009 | 1 of 5 Huevos | - Atmosphere of a suburban VFW - Food quility of my high school cafeteria - Portion sizes refreshingly appropriate for a healthy human breakfast - Taste was subpair, and worse than I could do at home

From: Chapper 06/22/2009 | 1 of 5 Huevos | I mostly agree with the previous reviews of Louann's. I didn't have as much of an issue with the portion size though. Yes, it was smaller then most other places, but then at most other places I feel like I've eaten too much when I leave anyway. The food just lacked anything that would make me come back. I could make a better meal in the comfort of my own home and have it taste better. Return pretty unlikely.

From: Taco Tuesday 06/20/2009 | 2 of 5 Huevos | I share the sentiment that has been posted already. The Twin Cities is full of amazing breakfast joints, Louann's unfortunately would not be at the top of my list. I had French Toast, and it may have been the smallest pieces of french toast I have ever seen. The batter and preparation was very mundane and I left still hungry (which I went home and had a bowl of cereal). The staff was friendly and the place was nice (a typical American diner), but I doubt if I would ever venture back.

From: MoPhats 06/20/2009 | 2 of 5 Huevos | I too share a similar experience as Probert. Loann's was average in every way, nothing special. I was expecting larger portions for the price. I had 2 Pancakes, 2 Eggs and Sausage. They were the thinest smallest pancakes i've ever seen served in a diner. The food was good even though i left unsatisfied. Return unlikely.

From: Probert 06/20/2009 | 2 of 5 Huevos | My experience at Louann's this morning was fair. Truthfully, Louann's is kind of your typical Americana breakfast diner, but maybe without the strong menu options or specialities. I ordered the veggie omelete and found it to be average at best. (It came with a good pumpernickle rye, but no hash browns) From what I observed from my fellow patrons dishes, portions were not your typical diner size and were relatively small. I think it would be cool to have a Louann's in my neighborhood, but I think that there is some room for improvement.
